For the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, a spectacular light show will be shown at Customs House as part of the Vivid Sydney festival.

It's a good time for Sydney Whovians — first with the Newtown pop-up shop, now with a light show coming to Customs House as part of the Vivid Sydney light and music festival.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, music from the show will accompany a series of projections shone over the facade of Customs House, featuring a host of characters from the show. Additionally, a special screening will be shown at the nearby Dendy Circular Quay of two iconic episodes from series seven: "Asylum of the Daleks" and "The Angels Take Manhattan".

And for cosplaying fans, a competition will be run, allowing them to submit photos of themselves to win a prize pack of Doctor Who merchandise.

The light show will be one night only on Saturday, 1 June, starting at 6.50pm, then 8.50pm, 10.50pm and 11.50pm AEST. Each projection will be 10 minutes, interspersed with Danny Rose's Move Your Building.

The Dendy screenings will be at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm AEST. Stay tuned to the Doctor Who website for more Dendy session times around Australia and New Zealand.
