Digital Goods, formerly known as Softlock.com, said Monday it has inked a deal with electronic publisher MightyWords to provide interactive marketing services for MightyWords' top 200 digital titles. Under the agreement, Digital Goods will develop new sales channels for each of the titles and package them with other promotional content. Some of the titles include technical, professional and business content, such as guides to Access, Excel and "How to Start a Consulting Business."
Digital Goods became known in the e-book circuit last year when it worked with Simon & Schuster to be a key distributor of Stephen King's e-book, "Riding the Bullet." Hackers, however, broke through the book's anti-copying technology the day it was made available and posted unauthorized versions on the Internet.
