Destiny 2.0 changes outlined in this new overview

See a rundown of all the big changes coming to Destiny next week.

On September 8, Bungie will deploy a substantial new Destiny update that will make sweeping changes to the shooter ahead of The Taken King's release a week later. While Bungie is saving the full Destiny 2.0 patch notes for next week, the developer has now provided a "tactical preview" for the changes.

The changes include an increased level cap (including the separation of Character Level and Light Level), the introduction of a Quest screen in the menu, and a boost to the number of available Bounty slots. Check out Bungie's breakdown of changes below, while we'll have the full patch notes for you next week.

In addition, Bungie has provided some suggestions for what players may want to do before the update arrives on September 8. Check out these suggestions and the early patch notes below.

What's more, Bungie recently announced that everyone will get to try The Taken King's new PvP content (two game modes and eight maps) free for one week only. For more, watch the video above or read this post.
