Despite not exactly being a critic's darling, "Suicide Squad" has hit another commercial milestone.
The DC Comics film has cracked the top 50 highest grossing films in the US, having made $318.58 million domestically, according to IMDB.
It hit the accolade by surpassing 2008's "Iron Man", which made $318.30 million (in the US) to kick off the blockbuster Marvel Cinematic Universe. IMDB has "Suicide Squad" at number 49, about $200,000 behind 2007's "Transformers", while Box Office Mojo has the film at number 50.
"Suicide Squad" took in $731.5 million at the global box office, making it the 79th highest grossing film worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
