That cool Magic Leap AR demo is probably fake, but we love it anyway (Tomorrow Daily 148)

On today's show, we discuss a laser-equipped device that zaps mosquitoes from far away, explain why Magic Leap's cool AR game is probably still a pipe dream, and watch a zombie simulation wipe out the US (in our browser).

Happy Monday, fellow nerds! We're hitting the ground running this week, and even though it's a few days late, we still had to talk about that Magic Leap video making the rounds. Yeah, it's probably fake, but it's still kind of exciting to see what the future potentially holds for augmented and virtual reality devices. Grab those Dr. Grordbort ray guns and start hunting robots, folks.

We're also showing off a cool machine that shoots down mosquitoes with a 3-watt laser, and a simulation that will show you where the best place to hide is in the event of a zombie apocalypse. We're also pretty excited about some cool e-ink panels for high heels, but maybe they'd be even better in a pair of sneakers.
