Editing videos and photos can be a time-consuming process. Traditionally, it's been done with a keyboard and mouse, even though this might not seem like the most intuitive way to interact with non-linear editing. Ctrl+Console is a gesture-based console app that lets you interact with Final Cut, Premiere and Lightroom through a touchscreen device.

The video on the project's Kickstarter page shows the prototype in action alongside Premiere, using a jog wheel to scrub through footage, amongst other useful functionalities.

Imagine never needing to remember another keyboard shortcut ever again. Ctrl+Console looks like a pretty great way to interact with a number of editing programs, and, if you pledge US$5, you get the app once it has been fully developed.
