CarsDirect targets used cars

CarsDirect.com plans to launch a used car Web site by April, the company announced Thursday. Although CarsDirect pioneered the process of selling new cars directly to consumers over the Internet, it will not sell used cars directly to consumers. Instead, the new site will allow dealers nationwide to list and sell used cars. Los Angeles-based Cars Direct is working with technology provider Reynolds and Reynolds to develop the site, which will allow customers to research and compare used and new cars.
