On today's show, why horny Amish guys shouldn't sext while driving their horse and buggies and why somewhere in the world, Martin Short is currently clenching his butt cheeks. Yep, it's a Donald Bell show. Also, ISPs are adopting graduated responses to piracy and Apple gets a patent that may or may not be broad depending on how you define "N."

Only Apple users would think that a partitioned part of your hard drive called recovery is a nice feature. Welcome to the 1990′s OS X Lion users! The Compaq I had 10 plus years ago (plus every other PC since) had the same “”magical”" feature. It “”just works”" until a unrecoverable hardware failure and no physical recovery disc on hand to reinstall your OS.
Has anyone thought that this could be new Apple forced death march upgrade path. Hard drive dies, buy a new Mac.
It is possible that OS X Lion could prompt users to create a recovery disc (just like Windows), but who actually does that? I include myself in that group. Fingers crossed.
Love the show!

Love the show. I would just like to comment on the notion that Apples stuff just works. I am a blind computer user and not a lot of people know this but Apple is the only company that provides a comprehensive screenreader into all of it’s products. Thanks to Apple blind users no longer have to buy a piece of hardware then spend hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars on a 3rd party screenreader. I wish that it was not only Apple doing this but as Molly said “”apple stuff just works”".
Love the show and keep up the good work

Hey Buzz Crew!
Quite a few times in past shows, you’ve mentioned how you contribute a fair amount of usage to listeners’ and viewers’ data plans. Boredom has led me to do some math on this, and here are the results!
The average audio-only podcast is: 27.79 MB
So that five days a week comes out to 138.95 MB
Add that to the average length of the Best Of show once a week at
14.88 MB, and you guys use 153.83 MB per week! That’s 615.32 MB a month on just the audio podcast, god knows how much a live stream would use.
This means that anyone wanting to just stream the completed podcast on AT&T better not be on the $15 200MB plan, or you would cost them overages of $60 a month assuming they did nothing else!
I used the last 10 episodes(excluding the “”lost”" episode) of the show (using Google Listen) for my numbers, in case someone decides to +1 Geek me and check my math!
Love the showmance!
I’m with you Molly. I too have a Droid X, and ever since the Gingerbread update, it’s been a pain. It’s buggy and laggy and randomly restarts several times a day. I recently played with a Windows Phone phone, and I loved it! It was so smooth and unified. Where as Android at times just feels all over the place. I really don’t blame you for lusting after a beautiful, well put together device like an iPhone. I’m pretty sure I’m jumping ship once Nokia releases some WP7 devices. Then jumping back to Android because I’ll miss certain features. IT NEVER ENDS. jerry williams
