BroadWare hooks up to $7.5 million

BroadWare Technologies announced Tuesday it raised a $7.5 million round of funding, led by Sigma Partners. Dali Hook Partners and previous investors McKenna Ventures, Defta Partners, New Vista Capital and NetService Ventures also contributed to the round. Although the company is listing this funding as a first round--because of dilution that occurred to investors in previous rounds--it actually serves as a fifth round of funding, a company spokesman said. The Cupertino, Calif.-based company has raised a total of $20 million. BroadWare develops real-time, networked video applications.
