Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that's taken over our lives.
Stars lead glamorous lives.
Social media helps them make their fans jealous of these lifestyles. This jealousy drives them to offer the stars even more love.
So it was that on Monday rapper Bow Wow took to Instagram to post a fetching image of a private jet. This was accompanied by the words: "Travel day. NYC press run for Growing Up Hip Hop. Lets gooo. I promise to bring yall the hottest show EVER."
I have every reason to believe this hotness. Save, perhaps, for the warm glow of privacy offered by this private jet.
This is only because Twitterer Osama Bin Drinkin' claims to have spotted Bow Wow -- real name Shad Moss -- sitting on a plane yesterday.
A commercial plane, that is.
Indeed, he posted an image of Bow Wow seated in what looks a very fine class of seat, but manifestly less than private.
The matter was no longer private when Bow Wow became a trending Twitter topic, as observers offered their own sociological views of his apparent duplicity.
Naturally, Twitterers weren't slow to bark and chuckle. Take Jason Bayly's picture of his ride to McDonald's.
Heavy Foot trod the same route with two images of the car he drove to work.
Then famed gossipist Perez Hilton noticed that Wow had been up to private jet posting before.
I appreciated Adina's philosophical musing: "Bow wow just like everyone using social media, portraying an image that is not real."
Bow Wow's representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. However, he did return to Instagram to offer this thought: "My hustle is non stop. I never stop hustling."
It's a commendable attitude in our hustle-laden times. Some people know it as marketing.
