Bluefly sales go skyward

Bluefly, an online apparel store, said Thursday that February's net sales increased more than 50 percent from the same period a year ago. Headquartered in New York, Bluefly said sales last month reached $2.4 million, up from $1.6 million in February 2001. Last month, the retailer, which trades on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange's small-cap market, reported its first-ever positive cash flow from operations in the quarter ending Dec. 31. However, the Web merchant still lost $1,379,000 on a net basis.
