Apple has announced the Single Sign On feature for Apple TV and iOS devices which enables users to enter their cable details once for use in multiple apps.

Previously cable-specific apps such as HBO Go and Time Warner Cable asked users to enter their cable provider when they used an app for the first time. Single Sign On enables users to input their details and then share it with dozens of compatible apps.

Single Sign-On is designed to be used specifically with Apple TV and iPad.
