Yoky Matsuoka, the co-founder of Google X and ex-vice president of technology at smart home company Nest, has recently moved to Apple to work on health projects, reports Fortune.
The robotics expert previously worked at Google's X research labs in the medical space and led development of the Nest thermostat. She will join the Apple team under Jeff Williams, head of the Cuppertino tech giant's health initiatives.
The move is the latest in a growing trend in health and fitness tracking for Apple, which just last weekto help people manage medical conditions.
Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
