AMD's Ruiz joins Bush trade team

Advanced Micro Devices CEO Hector Ruiz has been appointed by President Bush to serve as a member of the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations. The organization provides the U.S. Trade Representative, which negotiates trade deals on behalf of the White House, with policy advice on trade issues including outlining trade agreement objectives and bargaining positions. Executives from IBM, eBay and Sony Music also sit on the board.
