At the annual stockholder meeting for Advanced Micro Devices, CEO Hector Ruiz said the company plans to come out in the second half of 2005 with a version of thethat has two processing cores for greater performance. The company could also bring such a chip to the desktop but said it may not because of a lack of demand.
Also at the meeting, Ruiz said AMD will more aggressively develop. "There are 600 million people on the Internet and 6 billion people in the world who want to use it," he said. "There is a vast, unexplored human potential in the world."
