Start-up AirMagnet introduced new wireless network management software on Monday in an effort to attract more corportate business. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company said it is releasing third-generation wireless networking security and performance management software for use on notebooks and handhelds as well as data aggregating and reporting software for IT managers. The products are available now, according to the company. The new products support the 802.11g standard and include new alarms designed to detect threats to a wireless network's security.
The software for notebooks, AirMagnet Laptop Trio, starts at $3,495. The handheld version, AirMagnet Handheld 3.0, starts at $2,995. The data collection and reporting software, AirMagnet Reporter, costs $1,495.
