A glimpse at the Sony Ericsson P990

A glimpse at the Sony Ericsson P990

In today's installment of cool smart phones that aren't available in the United States yet, we feature the Sony Ericsson P990. This smart phone is the long-awaited successor to the Sony Ericsson P910a, and judging by the crowd that swarmed around it, this mobile will garner quite a bit of attention from mobile professionals when (and if) it hits U.S. shores. For now, the P990 is expected to be available in Europe, Asia, and Africa in Q3 2006, but when asked about a stateside release, a Sony Ericsson rep didn't rule it out. The handset features the Symbian 9.1 operating system, a 2-megapixel camera, and Wi-Fi. It also has an improved QWERTY keyboard that is integrated into the body of the phone--not on the flap--for a better user experience and improved stability.
