A closer look at the winning Sony Ericsson W760i

CNET gives the Sony Ericsson W760i a shake-down and likes what it finds.

It's a winner: the Sony Ericsson W760i. Corinne Schulze/CNET Networks

Last January at CES 2008, the Sony Ericsson W760i was a finalist in the cell phones category for the Best of CES awards. At the time, several things caught our eye, most prominently its super world phone status. With support for four GSM bands and three 3G bands, the W760i is ready for use almost everywhere. But after a thorough review we found there's much more to this handset.

Inside an appealing and easy-to-use slider design, you'll find such attractions as a Walkman music player, an accelerometer, a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS, and Bluetooth. Performance was quite good on all fronts, and though the W760i could use a few tweaks, it managed to snag our Editors' Choice award. Read our full Sony Ericsson W760i review for the complete story, or check out the slide show for a gallery of shots.
