It's not quite as good at teasing out detail in darker scenes as some of its rivals, but overall, it's a very accomplished TV.
There's plenty to like with the 42-inch LG 42LM660T, including its sumptuous design, excellent Smart TV features, top-notch 3D support and pristine HD images. It's only held back from achieving full marks by slightly noisy standard-definition images and a smidgen of lost detail in darker scenes.

For those not interested in 3D, the Panasonic Viera TX-L42E30B is one of the better 2D-only LED sets around, offering excellent picture and sound quality. Its Internet features only serve to sweeten the deal.
The LG 47LW6500 is a stunner, it offers an impressive picture in both 2D and 3D and the Magic Motion remote is an absolute blast.
The Panasonic ST30 may lack some of the extra frills found on its GT30 and VT30 sisters, but it still delivers superbly cinematic pictures no matter whether it's working with 2D or 3D content.
