Asus Blue Cave

It's a cool looking router with a big, blue-rimmed hole in the middle. It has lots of speed, features and security for an affordable price. The menu and app give you as much control over your network as you want.

D-Link AC1750 Wi-Fi Router

You can't beat what you get for the price with the DIR-867. It has lots of the top 802.11ac features and it performed well during testing. I'm not sure it will stand up to years of use, but you'll probably be looking to upgrade your network by then anyway.

Zyxel Multy X Mesh WiFi System

The Multy X provides reliable Wi-Fi coverage and average speeds for a large home. The price is on point at $300, and it's very easy to set up.

TP-Link Archer C2300 Wi-Fi Router

The overall performance of this router was good, but it probably won't hold up to lots of devices in a large home. It does have bonus features, including link aggregation and security powered by Trend Micro, so you will get a lot of bang for your buck.

Norton Core

For $200, you get a fast, unique-looking router with lots of extra security for all your connected devices. The first year is free, but you will have to pay to keep all the security features. For the price, it's still a good router that is easy to manage (via an app) for a medium-size home.

Zyxel Armor Z2 Wi-Fi Router

The Zyxel Armor Z2 is an affordable router that provides excellent coverage for a medium-sized home, but lacks top speed. It's missing a few features, but anyone can navigate the menu without issue and find exactly what they need.

Phicomm K3 Smart Home Wi-Fi router

The K3 has above-average overall speed, but its disorganized menu and limited range on 5GHz make it only worth the price if you really like the design.

Netgear XR500 Nighthawk Pro Gaming Router

Netgear and NetDuma teamed up to create a gamer's delight inside a futuristic-looking router. The XR500's speed and range are more than enough for a medium-to-large home. The DumaOS interface has lots of customization options and helpful hints for even novice router users.

TP-Link Archer C3150 V2 Wi-Fi Router

TP-Link created a router that's the complete package for an affordable price. The hardware performed really well and its range was surprising. With the Archer C3150 V2, you get all the bells and whistles, plus an easy-to-use web interface.

Avira SafeThings Wi-Fi Router

Avira's new router learns about and protects every device on your home network using artificial intelligence and machine learning.

AmpliFi Teleport Kit

It's a trade off. For the price, the router will only give you mediocre home Wi-Fi, but the Teleport device is unique and gives you easy access to your home network and internet from anywhere in the world.

NetGear Orbi Outdoor Satellite

If you have the money to spend, and already have an Orbi router, the Orbi Outdoor Satellite will give you great coverage outdoors and speeds as fast as you get inside. Make sure you mount it somewhere safe if you plan to leave it outdoors.

ASUS RT-AC86U Dual-Band Wireless Router

At $200, the Asus RT-AC86U is one of the best all-around routers. It has all the latest features, including extra security for all of your devices. This router should maximize your bandwidth and keep your home network running smoothly.

Linksys WRT32X MU-MIMO Gigabit Gaming Router

Hard-core gamers will get their money's worth if they have a Killer PC, but everyone else should find a less expensive option.

Xfinity xFi Advanced Gateway

Xfinity Gigabit Internet subscribers can now rent the xFi Advanced Gateway to achieve full gigabit speeds and connect their smart devices.
