VA Software gets new CFO

VA Software, which abandoned its former business of selling Linux servers in favor of collaborative programming tools, has named Kathleen McElwee vice president and chief financial officer, the company said recently. McElwee previously was CFO at game software company 3DO. McElwee replaces Todd Schull, who resigned "to pursue other interests," VA said in a statement. "He has been considering this step for some time, and we appreciate his assistance in the recruitment of and transition to Kathy," VA Chief Executive Larry Augustin said in a statement.
