U.S. Interactive appoints CEO, replaces CFO

U.S. Interactive announced that Gary Rhea has resigned as its chief financial officer, the latest in a recent string of high-level executives who have departed from the troubled Web consultancy. The company, which recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, also named Vinay Deshpande its new chief executive officer and president, filling a spot vacated last month by Mohan Uttarwar. Deshpande was the co-founder of U.S. Interactive's Soft Plus business division. The company said Sunil Mathur, who has been named executive vice president, will assume duties of CFO.
