Toyota, Keane ink software deal
Japanese automotive giant Toyota Motor signed a $19.8 million contract with Keane that lets the Boston-based technology-consulting company manage software for Toyota's advanced development center in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Keane will be responsible for software governing all vehicle, parts, service and warranty, enterprise, and industrial equipment systems. The outsourcing allows Toyota to focus on other core strategies--including speeding the time it takes to get cars to customers.
