Swiss firm taps Ariba

Business-to-business software maker Ariba on Tuesday said its software was picked by Switzerland-based financial services company Zurich Financial Services Group to automate communications and transactions with its suppliers, or the supply chain of the company. Ariba's technology, specifically its Ariba Buyer application, will enable Zurich Financial's technology to be amassed from each employee's desktop and directed to suppliers, online marketplaces and exchanges. The financial company has offices in more than 60 countries.
