Short Take: ZD 3D benchmark on the way

The Ziff-Davis Benchmark Operation plans to release in the first half of the coming year a benchmark for use in evaluating 3D hardware and software. ZDBOp has received from Intel its Direct3D Performance Tool, which the companies hope will speed the establishment of a 3D standard. In an attempt to elicit feedback, ZDBOp will distribute to 3D vendors a CD-ROM containing the executable version of the Direct3D Performance Tool.
