Short Take: Vendors get sneak peak at IE beta

Microsoft has posted parts of its Internet Explorer beta-in-progress to a private section of the Windows Update site. The sneak preview is provided for hardware and software vendors planning to implement IE 5. Microsoft posted a developer preview of the browser in June, and will post the first public beta, aimed at information technology evaluators and PC enthusiasts, in three weeks.
