USWeb said it was naming a former Autodesk executive as its new chief financial officer. Carolyn Aver, who also held positions at BackWeb Technologies and ParcPlace-Digitalk, will replace USWeb cofounder James Heffernan, who will retire from day-to-day operations with the company.
