Sybase will this week announce dbQ, a new message queuing technology intended to make it easier for Java and ActiveX developers to integrate database systems into Internet and intranet applications. dbQ is aimed at developers building transaction processing applications. The software will also work with IBM's MQSeries messaging software that links into legacy applications. A trial version of dbQ will be available from Sybase's Web site starting Wednesday. The software will ship later this year. No pricing has been announced.
