Short Take: Sun incorporates BMC tool

Sun Microsystems said it will integrate BMC Software's application monitoring tool, the Patrol Management Suite, into its SyMON system management software. Sun's Professional Services also said it will sell and support other BMC software as part of its offerings. Other BMC products include Best/1 Suite, which analyzes performance of applications and indentifies problems, and SQL-BackTrack, which backs up critical applications to tape or disks.
