The second version of the Aladdin Smartcard Environment, or ASE-II, compriss a read-write drive, software development tools, and smart cards for use in developing smart card applications. With the update, Aladdin provides support for new cards and has added to the drive a second card slot or optional subscriber identity module, or SIM. The kit sells for $475.
