Software development tool maker Metrowerks has closed a deal with Apple Computer to provide porting tools for moving current Macintosh applications to Apple's next-generation operating system, code-named Rhapsody. Metrowerks will deliver a new porting tool called CodeWarrior Latitude later this year that will allow programmers to rehost applications without rewriting code. The company said developers should be able to successfully port applications to Rhapsody in a month's time.
