Quarterdeck has started shipping Zip-It 4.0, the latest version of its file compression tool, compatible with Windows 95, Windows 3.x, and Windows NT 4.0. The update adds new client-server technology that allows users to extract the contents of "zipped" files over the Internet without having to download the entire archive of zip files, and includes plug-ins for both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator.
