Short Take: Network Associates offers rebate on utility software

Hoping to cash in on disgruntled users of Norton Utilities, Network Associates is offering NU 2.0 and 3.0 users a $10 rebate if they purchase Network Associates' Nuts and Bolts utility software package. Nuts and Bolts currently retails for $49. Released by Symantec late last year, Norton Utilities 3.0 has bugs that have caused serious problems with Windows-based systems. Symantec said it will post a patch this week to fix at least two bugs.
