Short Take: Netrust buys U.S. technology for digital IDs
Singapore-based Netrust, the first certificate authority in Southeast Asia, will use technology from Tandem Computers, Entrust Technologies, and Atalla (a Tandem unit) for its public key certificate infrastructure. Netrust expects to issue 1 million digital certificates and smart cards for Internet commerce over the next three years to businesses and consumers in Singapore. Netrust was formed by Singapore's National Computer Board and Network for Electronic Transfers.
