Short Take: Net video software goes beta
Microsoft and Intel said today that beta versions of their previously announced video conferencing technology is now available for free download from both companies' Web sites. Microsoft's NetMeeting 2.0 conferencing software works together with Intel's Internet Video Phone 1.0 to let PC users place real-time video calls. The technology uses the H.323 standard for Internet telephony interoperability.
