Microsoft has released a patch for Office 97. The Office Service Release is designed for large organizations upgrading to the newest version of the business software. The Office SR has the new Word 6.0/95 Binary Converter for Word 97. This converter lets users share documents with others using previous versions. Other components include enhanced Internet email support for Outlook 97, support for Intel's MMX technology, and other minor enhancements. The downloadable version may be installed directly over existing versions of Office 97.
