Mirapoint, a seller of special-purpose servers dedicated to handling email, has released a new model with higher-end features, the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company said Wednesday. The new system, the M2000, can be set up in a two-server "cluster" in which one machine can take over if the other fails. The system also comes with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for encrypting email and can screen out viruses and spam.
