Short Take: Maryland AG cracks down on online betting

Maryland's attorney general has shut down RealTime Prizes Network, whose operations allegedly included an online gambling operation located in Silver Spring, Maryland. "RealTime Prize Network remains of the opinion that [it] is not in violation of Maryland law. However, in the spirit of cooperation, RealTime will defer to the wishes of the Office of the Attorney General and cease doing business in the state," said Ira Allen Paur, a lawyer representing the company.
