Short Take: Level 3 to compete in IP tech

A new company called Level 3 is being formed to focus on Internet network services. It is being formed by former MFS Communications executives whose company was sold to Worldcom in 1996. Level 3, controlled by Peter Kiewit Sons of Omaha, Nebraska, now will compete with the likes of Worldcom, Quest, and other telcos in this fast growing IP technology business.
