Short Take: Lands' End names e-commerce chief

Bill Bass, a former analyst at Forrester Research, has been named vice president of e-commerce at Lands' End, the company said today. Lands' End is looking to the Web to shore up falling earnings from its mail-order clothing catalogs. Bass will report to the company's CEO, David Dyer.
