Short Take: Intrepid rolls out new version of merchandise software

Intrepid Systems rolled out its Evolution 4 merchandise management software system, the foundation of PeopleSoft's attempt to establish enterprise resource planning systems in the retail industry. PeopleSoft bought long-time partner Intrepid two weeks ago for about $57.7 million. Evolution 4 is designed to easily integrate with PeopleSoft's human resource, financials, and supply chain management applications.
