Short Take: Intel stakes Microcosm Technologies

Intel has made an investment in Microcosm Technologies, a software tools and services firm. "The investment capital from Intel will be used to help continue our efforts to develop premier-quality tools and offer expert professional service engineering," Michael Jamiolkowski, chief executive officer of Microcosm, said in a statement. Microcosm has licensed its software to Motorola, Texas Instruments and Xerox, among others. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
