Inso Corporation, provider of electronic publishing and information sharing software products, announced that it has acquired Henderson Software, provider of Computer Graphics Metafile (CGM) viewing and filtering solutions for technical documentation, for $750,000. HSI will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Inso, and the transaction will be accounted for as a purchase. The acquisition includes certain technology under research and development, which Inso will write off with a one-time charge, estimated at approximately $500,000.
