Short Take: IBM forms NC business unit

IBM announced the formation of the Network Computing Projects business unit. It will work with OS/2 Warp customers to design and develop custom business applications based on NC technologies such as Lotus Domino for OS/2 Warp, Sun Microsystems' Java, and IBM's VisualAge. A three-day Java Customer Summit is being held this week at IBM's facilities in Texas to brief and educate corporate developers and IT executives on technologies they will use to implement their solutions.
