Short Take: HP to cut printer prices
Hewlett-Packard cut prices on its home line of ink jet printers by up to $60. The HP DeskJet 693C will be priced at $299; the HP DeskJet 682C will cost $269; and the HP DeskJet 680C will be retail for $259. The HP DeskJet 690C will be priced at $289, as will the HP DeskWriter 680C, and the HP DeskJet 400 will now be priced at $179. All prices are suggested retail prices and are effective immediately.
