Hewlett-Packard will announce a new module for the AdvanceStack Switch 2000 that will tie ATM-based layouts to typical local area network topologies that use FDDI, 10- and 100-mbps Ethernet, and HP's VG technology. The 2000 has six slots to house a variety of networking options. The ATM module will be available in December for $8,999.
