Microsoft chief executive Bill Gates filed to sell 3 million common shares of the world's biggest software maker, worth about $260 million at today's stock price. The sale would represent less than 1 percent of Gates's holdings in the company. Gates, the world's richest man, regularly sells parts of his holdings in the company he co-founded.
