Former Microsoft president and chief operating officer Michael Hallman was elected to the Board of Directors of BlueGill Technologies, the company announced. BlueGill, founded in 1996, develops software to enable the transformation of documents into interactive Web applications. Its customers include banks, brokerage services, telcos, utilities, and service bureaus. Hallman is also the chairman of Ioptics, a company that is developing a new high performance storage device.
