Web solutions firms Exodus Communications has acquired online security company Arca Systems from CyberGuard. Exodus paid CyberGuard $3.4 million for the assets of Arca, which provides system security consulting services and designs and develops security technology solutions. Exodus said it hopes the Arca acquisition will give it the ability to better anticipate and deliver Internet security solutions. Exodus went public in March, raising $72 million.
