Dell will supply up to 2,000 terabytes of storage to the Navy outsourcing project, which is aiming to connect some 360,000 personnel through an intranet. Dell is a member of a team led by services giant EDS, which won the contract last month. The primary network for eight Navy operations centers will be made up of Dell products. Over the next five years, Dell will supply the hardware for 66 data centers.
